Over 8,000 Rhodes Scholars have gone on to serve at the forefront of government, education, the arts, NGOs, commerce, research and other sectors. Rhodes Scholars are well-known advocates for expanded social justice and have advanced and continue to advance the frontiers of science and medicine all over the world.

The Principal Development Executive reports to the Director of Advancement & Engagement, International, and plays a key role in the management of the mid- to high-level fundraising prospect pipeline, with the aim of proactively developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies to secure major gifts.

The postholder will manage a mixed portfolio of 80-100 major gifts prospects, primarily based in the United Kingdom. These will include several groups: alumni and non-alumni, other organisations, corporates and trusts and foundations. This position will play a key part in enabling the delivery of the Trust’s 125th Anniversary strategic goals.

The successful candidate will be a proactive, results-oriented and self-motivated individual with a strong drive towards getting out in the field, developing purposeful and effective relationships with prospective benefactors and connectors. You will also be a confident communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills and a track record of identifying, cultivating and soliciting 5-7 figure donations.
